      So, what kind of motorcycle is it? I helped my dad ship his custom bike along the same route back in December. He didn’t want to sell it either, but we still arranged the shipment through GetTransport in the end. At least that helped us get a sense of the prices, since there was a huge range among carriers. We opted for sea freight as air freight for a motorcycle is extremely expensive unless it’s a rare collector’s item. Also, when arranging shipping UK to Australia , make sure you understand the Incoterms. We chose CIF so insurance was included, because anything can happen at sea. Also, don’t forget to get a wooden crate for the bike — it needs to have special fumigation markings. Has your brother already looked into Australian import duties on used vehicles? There are some nuances depending on the year of manufacture. Which city are you planning to ship to exactly—the port or the garage by courier?
